Warranty Questions
What do the parts and labor warranties cover?
The 5-Year Parts Warranty covers parts and components installed by our technicians. The 1-Year Labor Warranty covers the labor and workmanship on the job. Both exclude normal wear and tear, customer-supplied parts, and damage from external factors or improper maintenance. Coverage begins on the date of service, and for a covered claim the replacement parts or the labor are at no charge.
Is a spring that breaks from everyday use covered?
No. Normal wear on moving parts is not a defect, and a spring that breaks from everyday use falls under normal wear. If something we installed fails because of how it was installed, or something is not working right after a visit, call us and we come back and make it right. We also tell you what we are installing, because quality hardware from reputable makers lasts longer.
Where do your doors, openers and parts come from?
We install and service all major brands and door types. We buy doors, openers and parts directly from manufacturers and factory sources, carry the common parts on the truck so most repairs are done on the spot, and back what we install with our parts and labor warranty.
How do I file a warranty claim with Garage Door Service 365?
Call us at (205) 775-8365 with your name, service address, and approximate date of the original service. We look up your record and confirm warranty coverage on the same call. We then schedule a return visit. You do not need to save paperwork or a warranty card. We maintain the records.
Does the warranty transfer if I sell my home?
The 5-Year Parts Warranty and 1-Year Labor Warranty are tied to the service address, not the original homeowner. They transfer automatically when the home is sold. Contact us with the new owner information and new contact details so we can update the record.
